Businesses
Learn about access to local shops and services, and ongoing support for businesses.
Fraser Highway and Industrial Avenue are open for business during construction of the Surrey Langley SkyTrain.
Access to local shops and services
Access routes may shift at times, but access to businesses along Fraser Highway and Industrial Avenue is being maintained throughout construction, with signs in place to direct drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians. To stay informed with the latest information:
- Learn more about temporary traffic changes on the Current Work page.
- Check TransLink’s Trip Planner for up-to-date public transit information.

Ongoing engagement with businesses
The Surrey Langley SkyTrain team is committed to working closely with local businesses throughout construction to provide advance notice of upcoming activities and collaborate on ways to reduce impacts.
Our team regularly visits, phones, and emails businesses to keep them informed of project developments and to address concerns around construction impacts such as noise, access, and parking.
Business supports
The Surrey Langley SkyTrain team supports local businesses along the Project alignment in the following ways:
- Placing “businesses are open” signs throughout the project area to maintain visibility and support wayfinding
- Installing business’ signs on construction fencing
- Scheduling disruptive work during off-peak hours where possible
- Installing screening to reduce dust and noise
- Working with businesses to support operations during utility disruptions
We appreciate everyone’s patience as we work as quickly as we can to deliver this project.
